Superfund Information Service
Picture of a Tank farm "The Superfund Information Service is an indispensable resource for analyzing and tracking corporate liabilities associated with expensive Superfund clean-up agreements. Corporate balance sheets may not always capture these liabilities in a meaningful way. I'd recommend EFIS to those who would want to look at this from a different perspective."

What is the Superfund Information Service?

The Superfund Information Service (SIS) is one of the largest and most comprehensive EPA Superfund databases available in the U.S. today. The SIS database contains complete document detail for virtually every Superfund Consent Decree and Administrative Order on Consent (AOC) issued from the inception of the EPA Superfund program (CERCLA) in 1980 to the present.

The documents are organized by EPA region and then site name to facilitate quick and direct access to all legal, technical and other settlement information. These negotiated settlements are continuously updated to facilitate real time research, help derive corporate superfund liability and define precedents for future Superfund settlements.

Whether searching for a particular responsible party, physical location, clean-up action, pollutant or any other user-defined criteria, SIS offers ease of use, concise searches and in-depth data. With continuous updates and complete retention of all prior historical information, SIS is the most current and comprehensive source of EPA Superfund information available.

Our system allows the researcher to initiate a key word search and obtain the results for every Consent Decree and Administrative Order on Consent containing that keyword without ever opening a specific site file. From the search results, the researcher can open the pages of interest in a .pdf file and browse the document as desired.

With The Superfund Information Service, you can eliminate costly and uncertain on-line document retrieval costs and lengthy EPA document requests. In seconds, you can search, access and print any EPA Superfund Consent Decree or AOC document in its entirety or just the pages you require.

As with all EFIS products, U.S.-based Technical Support staff are available during regular business hours to answer any questions you may have regarding database access, data content and data retrieval software use. Simply call 1-800-466-5021, Monday through Friday, 7AM to 5PM PST.
